Code of Conduct
To foster a trusted, collaborative environment where Masonic business owners support each other while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
The commitment statement
As a member of the Masonic Business Network, I commit to supporting my fellow Masons’ businesses when it is in the best interest of my own business, and to fostering a spirit of trust, excellence, and brotherhood in all my professional dealings.
Eligibility
To participate, a member must:
- Be a Master Mason in good standing with a recognized lodge.
- Own, co-own, or manage a business, or be empowered to make purchasing decisions.
- Be willing to share business information with the group and participate actively.
Code of conduct
Integrity
Conduct all business dealings honestly and transparently.
Respect
Treat all members with respect, regardless of business size or sector.
Confidentiality
Do not share sensitive business information outside the group without explicit permission.
No Obligation
Members are encouraged, but not required, to do business with each other. The group exists to facilitate, not force, transactions.
Quality Commitment
Strive to provide high-quality goods and services to fellow members, honoring the trust placed in Masonic relationships.
Feedback
Provide constructive feedback and testimonials when appropriate.
Conflict Resolution
Address disputes privately and respectfully. Escalate to a designated group moderator only if necessary.
Participation guidelines
To keep the network vibrant and effective, members are expected to:
Directory Listing
Keep your business information up to date in the directory.
Event Attendance
Attend at least one networking event per quarter, virtual or in person.
Communication
Respond to a fellow member’s inquiry within 48 hours whenever possible.
Promotion
Avoid aggressive or spammy self-promotion. Focus on building genuine relationships.
Support
Refer clients, share leads, or offer advice when able. Reciprocity builds a stronger network for everyone.
These guidelines are not about compliance. They are about a culture of integrity, support and excellence. When everyone is on the same page, the whole network is more reliable.
